Summer training provides athletes the opportunity to accelerate their skills and create a competitive advantage for summer sports, select team try-outs and when they return to the field, court or ice to compete this fall. Athletic Republic’s “Summer of Speed” training program combines its evidence-based training approach with an individualized plan to help every athlete get the most out their summer.

As part of the Summer of Speed program, Athletic Republic is running a no-purchase-necessary sweepstakes through Athletic Republic’s Facebook page from April 1 through May 31, 2012.

To enter for a chance to win, interested participants over the age of 13, may visit www.ARSummerofSpeed.com and must ‘Like’ Athletic Republic’s Facebook page to gain access to the sweepstakes entry form.

The Prize drawing will be held on June 1, 2012 and will recognize 60 winners from across North America with the following awards:

Corey Graham signs with the Baltimore Ravens

We are excited to announce that Corey Graham (Corey who trained at Athletic Republic of Libertyville) is leaving the Chicago Bears to join the Baltimore Ravens. As we are sad to see him leave the Chicago Bears, we are also looking forward to watching him excel in his new role. During his time with the Bears Corey earned a Pro Bowl selection coming off a season that included 3 interceptions for the Bears. We want to wish Corey and his family all the best as he begins his new journey in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens.

Athletic Republic’s & Palmen Sports Expansion in to Kenosha

Athletic Republic’s expansion in to the Kenosha market begins this summer with the 2012 Summer Speed and Agility Tour. Palmen Sports is currently planning to open up an AR in Kenosha towards the end of 2012. This will be a satellite site with smaller individual capacity then Libertyville but offering a much bigger space for team training. So whether you are a team or individual contact us early so reserve your spot. We will be partnering with teams early so to reserve your space and training spots.

The Speed & Agility Tour consists of four 75 minute sessions in four consecutive days. Athletic Republic trainers and coaches will lead the sessions with the athletes. Trainer/Coach ratio will be approximately 10 to 1. We will focus on ground based speed and agility drills. The ground based drills are a great introduction to the next level of training which is at Athletic Republic facilities all over the world.
