KENOSHA, WI – August 1, 2012 – The Libertyville Boys Club (LBC), and Athletic Republic, the industry leader in performance sports training, announced today a new affiliation to help local youth football players improve their speed, power, agility and sensory skills.

The agreement brings together Athletic Republic-Libertyville and the new Athletic Republic training center being constructed in Kenosha and LBC’s commitment to teach the fundamentals of the game of football and promote a sense of sportsmanship and fair play in an environment that stresses fun for all participants.

The partnership is more than a sponsorship that places the Athletic Republic name on LBC helmet. The affiliation is based on a common commitment to an athlete’s development. “We’re excited to support a program that has a long history of preparing and teaching young athletes the game of football.” said Jon Palmen, owner of Athletic Republic – Libertyville and Kenosha. “Players and teams who utilize this relationship will have a competitive advantage on the field.”

The Libertyville Boys Club has been serving Libertyville and its surrounding communities for over 75 years by making football and cheerleading programs available to boys and girls between the ages of six and fourteen. Currently, the LBC Football Program is comprised of twenty in-house teams, twelve flag football teams, and five travel teams that serve over five-hundred boys and girls. “We’re excited to have Athletic Republic as our performance sports training partner. Their science-based approach to training and commitment to teaching fundamental movement skills will undoubtedly help our athletes become better football players.” Added John Teichman, LBC President.

More than 20 years in the making, Athletic Republic has pioneered the application of sport-science to sports training, offering programs appropriate for athletes of all ages. Over 70,000 athletes visited one of its 150 training centers last year to gain more than just a step up on their competition. The new Athletic Republic – Kenosha facility is expected to be open in September and located at 4211 Green Bay Road in Kenosha.
